Empowering youth athletes by giving every player the gear they need to compete, grow, and belong.
GearforGood is a student-led community nonprofit that my co-founder, Andrew, and I started to help provide sports gear to players who may not be able to afford it.
Our goal is to promote sustainability and allow less fortunate players to play the sport they love. We believe every young athlete deserves access to the equipment they need to compete, grow, and belong.

The goal of this nonprofit is to collect lightly used soccer cleats and later host a cleat giveaway and exchange where players can exchange their old, non-fitting cleats for cleats in a larger size — or receive a pair at no cost.
Gather lightly used soccer cleats from the community via drop-off and pickup.
Host an event where players swap ill-fitting pairs for a size that works.
Provide free pairs to players who need them — no cost, no catch.
As current juniors and former Mountain Top League athletes, both of us have a deep-rooted passion for soccer and want to give back to the community that helped shape who we are today.
We also recognize how important it is for young athletes to have proper access to equipment and sports, because it can help build confidence, promote a healthy lifestyle, and a sense of belonging.
The right gear helps players show up and compete.
Reusing gear reduces waste and extends its life.
Every player deserves to feel part of the team.
Sports access promotes lifelong physical wellbeing.
The Google Form is our primary way of collecting donation info — cleat size, condition, and preferred collection method. All donors must fill this out to get started.
The time will be determined based on the number of pairs collected, scheduling conflicts, and the time before the season starts. People can exchange sizes or receive a free pair at the event.
